As per Rule 5, all posts linking to reddit content are already restricted on this site. This includes the meta-drama of r/place. Please avoid posting restricted content.
are you an idiot? this is a 4 day event. why not have fun with it? now that we are on a third party website, we can even brigade posts and noone can do anything.
why would you ban it ?
also you can use this event to recurit membership for your website.
Firstly, as an admin, I’d like to say that we no longer are a part of Reddit, and the temporary rule 5 was before this r/place event. This is just a reminder and nothing more.
Now as a fellow member, what will we impact with like 30 or even 300 active users? Nothing in my opinion. IndiaSpeaks and India have allied to make the Indian Flag, and if you are in any of those communities, you have all right to use reddit’s r/place. But the community of bakchodi.org has nothing to do with it, and thus the restrictions are purely justified from the point of view of community members too.

noone has allied with anyone lol . it is just a 4 day event to have fun. for example, some r/india users wanted to make taj mahel, noone let them.
instead of banning posts related to it, you should use the event to your advantage. for example, spam the website in /r/indiaplace
now that we have this website, we should not be afraid of brigading or taking part in /r/indiaplace. if you are a good admin , you could have taken advantage of this event to coordinate and recurit more members here as /r/indiaplace has done in the last 1 day. you could have done what /r/bakchodi did when /r/place happened the first time around. but instead you say “WE BAN EVERYTHING RELATED TO /r/place”. what kind of nonsense is that ?
the event lasts 4 days . have fun . disrupt enemy flags. use this place for coordination and more users will come to this place.
The admin team had a good discussion about the ban, and most stood in favor. We have practically thought the pros and cons of r/place and agreed the cons are larger than the pros. The continuous discussions of such posts will eventually degrade the quality of content on this site. You may still discuss the reddit event on Discord server. Also, we do not currently promote brigading (intra or cross platform) in any form.
well then, your admin team has failed to see the opportunity for engagement and expansion that /r/place was. look at how fast /r/indiaplace grew in 1 day.

are you sure you guys know what you are doing? this is a 4 day event. it should be seen as an OPPORTUNITY.
Also, we do not currently promote brigading (intra or cross platform) in any form.
what’s the point of having a website if you are not going to brigade? you guys are not seeing the point. you are never going to be able to get to the levels of /r/chodi. but if you allow brigading and cross platform posts, then you have a chance because you can use it to highlight injustice of other platforms (not just reddit).
but it seems i am talking to a bunch of brick walls and /r/chodi purists who don’t see an opportunity when it presents itself on a platter.
Well then. You are free to criticise the administration, but I still don’t see much changes in my or the community’s opinion on Rule 5. But we may still consider something neutral between our opinions. You will be notified if any decision is taken.
bhai, having been part of india, then indiaspeaks, then bakchodi, then chodi, - shutting ourselves off from other communities at infant stages is not a good idea.
Just like an infant, we are reliant on other people until we grow older. Banning reddit posts makes sense once we have reasonable user base.
alright bros, i guess this opportunity of /r/place to expand engagement on this website is lost then. the event ends on april 4, 2022. already 40% of the time is behind us.
i guess you guys want the user engagement on the website to be more ‘organic’ .
je hui naa baat, faltugiri se fursat mili inko toh ab kuch bakchodi ho jaye!

It’s been 4 days and the issue has been resolved. You can post Reddit based content in bakchodi.org/c/redditmeta .
